Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi, Aonghus.

I remember reading years ago about Dustin the turkey that the puppeteer was worth crazy money something close to 10 million from all the CDs and TV appearances and other stuff he did with him.
By all accounts he's not short a few bob and all for sticking his hand up a toys hole.

Probably more to do with me not being a mulchie!!!!

Whats a mulchie, and who is dustin's puppeteer?

    Whatever happened to Crystal Swing?

I was staying in a hotel in Coleraine some months back and there was a poster of them - they were playing there the next week.
So obviously still on the go.

I always feel sorry for Patrick Bergin because he was mooted to be "the next Sean Connery" and then he chooses as the breakout role, playing a rapist nutter who attacks Julia Roberts, who was then post-Pretty Woman, America's sweetheart, and that just alienated him from Hollywood...
And perhaps it was the 'tache which he shaved off relatively soon after...

On the Late Late Show, Gaybo used to day "Hold it there Collette", or "Roll it there Roisin". Are either of them, still working in RTE with the Turd'ridy

Not the friendliest by all accounts, has a reputation as a bit of a bighead.

    Damien McCaul from the Den
    Geri Maye
    Bibi Baskin
Haven't heard that name in years, I'm relatively young (20) I remember watching him on the Den as a child. Seemed like a great guy.

    Breffni clack

She moved to some dublin station years ago but I couldn't find her anywhere recently. Her dulcid tones would soothe your broken teenage heart!

DinJoe of Take the Floor fame ( Radio Èireann, 1950s ) had a son ( surname Fitzgibbon ) who was a financial commentator on RTE in the 1980s. Where is he now?

    No, its both.

"Global Learning and Talent Development Specialist
    LinkedIn
    April 2014 – Present (1 year)Dublin
    "

It appears that training is what she does now, often a career that those in the media can cross over to.

    Emma Ledden a great shout

Last I seen she was a judge on TV3's search to find a new Xpose presenter in 2009.

    She'd put on about 6 stone :(

Think she was just filling in for someone else for a while. Met her once through work. Very attractive I must admit. You definitely would.

    Derek Davis

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭Teyla Emmagan

Think Derek just retired. He was a salaried RTE employee, not self employed like most of them. So once he reached retirement age he could just take the pension and not have to work any more. Beats having to keep going till you're 80 like Gay Byrne.
