Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My Family Secrets Revealed Channel 4

Haven't seen it mentioned here, so perhaps people aren't aware of it.

There's a genealogy show on lunch times on Channel 4 during the week featuring Ancestry's genealogists.

The premise is, if you have a story that has been in the family and you want to check its veracity, like a link to someone famous, link to an event, a missing person or scandal.

It looks a bit like Antiques Roadshow meets lots of mini WDYTYA. Rather than one story there are a number of short segments. The people they feature seem to have been invited to a country manner style house where they meet the experts who reveal all. There's a bit of social history, records research, and Dna analysis. There's the odd work around that the average person wouldn't necessarily have access to.

Its not too bad. Watched best recorded to skip through the padding (it's a 30 min programme stretched into an hour). Some bits interesting, some less so.

    Agree fully.

I watched a couple of episodes but found it very bitty and wanted more.

I also watched some of it. I felt it was merely a carrot to get more people onto Ancestry. Most unfulfilling. Could do better.
