Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I wanted to use my xbox one controller to play a game (cod uo) on my surface.
It connects perfectly to the tablet and works fine for sifting through desktop menus etc so I know it works but when I open the game the controller has no input and doesn't appear in the controls menu.
Do I need to download an extra 'bridging' programme or is the game maybe too old to work with it?

Try download the Xbox Accessories app and it will show you how to set up the controller.

There should be an option in the general settings to change input from keyboard + mouse to controller.

Alternatively as stated above the Xbox Accessories App should be able to assist.

I gave that a try but it didn't work either and after some more research I've been told that the game doesn't have any native controller support.
It was suggested I try a programme called xpadder

Xpadder could work but it takes a lot of time to setup unfortunately.

Definitely games that old are not going to have controller support. I think the first Call of Duty game that had Xbox controller support wasn't until around 7 or 8 years after United Offensive.

Yeah, it did take a while but I have to say it wasn't difficult. But it's done now and it works alright.

I found a full list on a reddit thread, very peculiar how they rolled it out, Modern warfare didn't have it, but WaW did, then Mw2 had it but not in multiplayer. Strange stuff like that.
    Anyway, thanks for the help.
