    Corrected :o

well thanks for the vid! you see - what pictures didn't tell us but the video did was that jet was flying below the C130 rather that directly behind as pictures suggest

you have to agree that some of those shots were misleading.

Im sure the EF Typhoon had more than enough power to deal with whatever a C-130J Hercules could throw at it, The Typhoon would obviously have been a little lower than the Hercules in order for the film crew to get the shots they needed which to me seemed like high alpha shots.

    Either way it looked brilliant.

Is there any story to this plane?

I saw it over Athlone last week, with another plane practically stuck to its tail. Flying in from the east in very close formation, they broke off when turning back to the east again.

Regarding the shots in the other thread of the Moroccan AF Charlie 130, anyone know why she was here? In transit?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,031 ✭✭✭✭smurfjed

Considering that someone posted about the arrival of a Moroccan BBJ this afternoon, its quite possible that the C130 was bringing in a car or similar. It all depends on who was in the BBJ :)

Would #2730 be the beautiful wing of a Gulfstream?

That's an interesting selection of cockpit photos, especially the varied control columns; from a stick in the Beriev (a very large aircraft for such a control), to the side-stick in the FBW Falcon, the conventional yokes in the Beechjet and Global, and finally the quirky rams horn in the Hawker.

Just saw the picture of the jet with, 'the Dove theme'.

I know the were going for feathers but tbh it just looks like the plane flew through a flock of doves which left.....a bit of a mess on the fuselage. :D

The official FAA register is usually reliable:

I hope by smashing a single plane they will not jump to silly conclusions - looks more like junk tv rather than serious experiment

    will tune in anyway, thanks
