liffey tunnel

    does anyone know anything bout the tunnel between heuston and connolly under the liffey and pheonix park? would love to see it or lean a bit about it.

    You can see it from the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham or if your on a train pulling into Heuston.

    It has a bridge over the Liffey (near platform 10 at Heuston) and a tunnel under the Phoenix Park (at Wellington Monument). It was built by the Great Southern Railway to connect to the docks. If you have any specific queries, post them up.

    There are a number of more modern service tunnels in Dublin, along the Grand canal and from the south docks to the north docks.
