Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vodafone has also announced that it is the first network in Ireland to launch 4G Calling (VoLTE) to its customers. 4G calling uses Vodafone’s 4G network to carry voice calls for customers with compatible handsets, allowing them to enjoy faster call set up times (up to twice as fast) and high definition voice quality.

VoLTE has built-in reliability thanks to a seamless handover to the more traditional 2G/3G networks if a user moves out of 4G coverage. VoLTE is integrated into the phone as a native dialler which means there is no need to use an additional app, to make a call providing a better, more seamless experience for customers. In addition, customers making a voice call and using data at the same time now will benefit by staying on the 4G network for both

Wi-Fi Calling (Voice over Wi-Fi) is also now available with Vodafone allowing customers to make and receive calls from more locations in Ireland – all that is required is WiFi and a compatible handset. This innovative technology helps to eliminate mobile blackspots in the home or office if there is a strong Wi-Fi connection but weak/poor indoor mobile coverage. An added benefit of both services is that customers on a call over WiFi can seamlessly handover the call to the 4G network while on the move from the home or office to the outdoors.

In typical Vodafone fashion it’s much, much later than originally planned and limited to a very small number of devices (four so far) and requires you to be on one of a limited number of eligible bill-play plans.
