    In the small print.
WBP: The Department is only committed to fund the Weather Buoy Project to the end of 2011. A new Memorandum of Understanding has yet to be agreed and alternative funding arrangements are currently under consideration.

    Weather Buoy

    413k 235k 230k

    30% Reduction

Can't see the 5? of them maintaining the same level of service at that rate.

They cut everything except the things they should, I mean seriously, we waste so much scrilla on bs in almost every aspect of our communitys its shocking and real cuts could be made. Not gonna change the subject to budgets and cuts so ill leave it at that for now!

What sort of an effect will this have upon weather forecasting and maritime safety do you believe?

(EDIT: Merely asking as its something that should be put to the Minister to see what the departments plans are for the project in the long run)

The ultimate logic of that suggestion is that we should rejoin the UK, for the same argument could be made for so many institutions and organisations in this republic
