Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
Can anyone tell me what it would cost for drawings for a fire cert for two story building roughly 90sq m

Does it have to be done by an architect?

    Many thanks

    Not just drawings.
You also need a fire strategy and report done.

What’s the use of the building?
Is it built? What’s the use?
    I wouldn’t expect change from €5k fees.
That wouldn’t include inspection and supervision on material and product selection.

It has to be done by someone competent in fire safety design. Somebody that knows TGD Part B, BS9991, BS9999, BS5588 etc etc depending on the strategy used.

    Fire tender acces?
    Public access?
    Disabled access?

    Does it require these?

Is this one of the major hurdles that is preventing living above shops?

    No none of the above.

Not sure but there are significant planning exemptions for this, also exemption from disable access certs, so a fire cert even at 5k should be a minor exspence considering the implications it has on the building.

Ok, your architect has confirmed this?
Section B5 of TGDB (Fire Safety) is about access for fire fighting, and will need to be demonstrated in the FSC application. What’s the proposal?

Sorry I misunderstood. There will be access for fire fighters
