Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Kitchen design - thickness of drawers

Hi All, We are getting quotes for a new kitchen. We noticed some suppliers quoting 30mm thick doors. One particular supplier we met with said they supply 26mm and questioned the benefits of 30mm. A bit confused on this, any opinions on whether or not this makes a significant difference? Thanks all.

30mm?

Most doors are 18mm or 22mm at the higher end.

In one quote it said ‘30mm hand painted shaker frame doors’, while the other quote ‘30mm thick doors’.

I'm guessing you're looking at something like a hand-made in-frame kitchen. Have you been and looked at their show kitchens?

Yes, that’s exactly right. We’ve been to two of them. One that mentioned 26mm and the other 30mm. I don’t see any real advantage of 30mm v 26mm other than some people may perceive the thickness to be an indicator of better quality
