    Hi all,

    Just looking for some opinions/experiences.

Have bought an end of terrace house which sits on a busy main road in Dublin. The side of the house is on a cul de sac of a small private (approx. 5 townhouses) development.

We have pedestrian side access by way of a gate, approx. 15m from the main road, onto a pavement with a double yellow line.

I know that planning regulations require PP for creation of new access - but has anyone any experience with converting side access to a gated driveway for one car (to the rear of the property)? We do not have any front parking, or designated parking spaces.

Yes, same requirements. Planning required and typically it can hang on whether the roads department have an issue with it due to location, safety etc
