A very pre Thursday night football look to the schedule this week. I’ll be watching the eagles obviously but that browns vs Steelers game could be a belter.

Ah bollocks. And they’re playing the Vikings this weekend and played the Panthers last weekend so they’ll have to be contacted by the league who are playing the bears.

The colts positives turned out to be false positives so that’s okay and the falcons are back in their facility.

    52 - 25 so far.

This is a tasty enough slate of games, unfortunately they have scheduled them terribly so theres only two 9pm games and one involves the Jets :/
Broncos Pats should be fun, Browns Steelers also a good one, although the loss of Chubb and possibly OBJ makes that less compelling.
Bears and Panthers should be an even game if not the splashiest, and Chiefs Bills at 10pm on a Monday is a lovely timeslot and a nice looking game.

It is. Be nice to be able to watch a game on Monday night at a reasonable hour. I think the OBJ thing is just the nfl being overly careful. He tested negative for covid.

Just watching the cbs pre game show and according to Jason La confora it’s a case of if the lions lose today then Matt Patricia will be getting his walking papers.

Cam Newton and Stephan Gilmore are active today for the patriots. Also the browns vs steelers game they were showing the rankings of both teams and lots of #1s in the afc between both teams.

Jaylon Johnson on the Bears is ridiculously good. Made a few rookie mistakes but overall he's been superb. Tipped another ball leading to an INT just there.

Meanwhile, the offense gets called for a delay of game out of a timeout.

Nice TD catch for Cole Kmet after a pretty farcical delay of game off a Bears timeout!

Yeah a lot got forgiven just the: playcalling ineptitude on the delay of game, keeping out graham, and also the decision to draft kmet, who hadn't done much of anything up until now. Someone's I think we're a bit too knee jerk in our reactions...

Darnell Mooney looks like a fantastic draft pick by the Bears.

Carson wentz fumbled the ball because of course he does.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,366 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

I know wentz has a mess of an Oline but still he needs to throw the ball away when he has to.

So close to switching off this Eagles Ravens game and watching something else. That's not an NFL calibre offense out there. I know its a banged up OL and wrs injured (what new!) But this is painful to watch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

The Browns are being brought back down to earth it seems!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Mike Pereira hasn't worked for the NFL for almost a decade yet he's still incredibly biased when it comes to analysing ref decisions.

Kyle Fuller makes a legal hit exactly the way they tell players to do it now. There's literally no other way he can make the tackle and they call him for a hit on a defenseless receiver, then in comes Pereira to tell everyone it was for a hit to the head when Fuller leads with the shoulder and contacts the receivers shoulder.

He had an entire ad break to review it and he still sided with the refs. Find someone impartial for the role, FOX.

I’m not that close but if it keeps up like this deep into the second half I might.

A 55 yard FG from Santos makes it 13-6 at the half, with the Bears receiving to start the second.

Patriots offense stinking up the joint. Cam has been horrendous.

If we didn't have a great defense it'd be over by now. Hopefully the coaches can sort something out and give us a chance to win it.

7 runs for 13 yards against this D is pathetic. They're bottom 5 in the league.

Scott Hansen having a bit of a mare on RedZone. He's missing plays and scores all over the shop.

We've been absolutely brutal with the ball, only so long the D can keep this close

I think 9 games is too many, him and the producers have struggled to keep up since kick off

Super defensive stand there, and incredibly still no team has made it to the endzone, this is getting away from the patriots though. Absolutely stinking the place out on the ball.

    Jesus Christ.

They didn't call DPI on a 3rd down pass to ARob in the first quarter but they call Kyle Fuller for the same thing there, wiping out a TD.

    The refs hate Fuller.
