Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Pfft. Who needs strikers anyway!

Grealish was furthest forward at times against Burnley, we'll see what happens.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

No Kodjia in squad and youngster Vassilev on bench tells it's own story. El Ghazi up front probably.

Is it worrying that Grealish is playing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,442 ✭✭✭basillarkin

no conor again, now firmly in the role of super sub? is it a 3-4-3?

Very. If he gets injured Smith will have a lot to answer for IMO.

It was always going to be full strength, same as Leicester. No point getting there and throwing it away.

We played the 2nd string the whole way so far

    No Drinkwater . Awe

I was actually thinking earlier I'd rather play Trez as forward than Kodjia. More mobile, and definitely more trying to prove something

Away to a full strength Leicester, playing a second string team would do more harm than good.

You think? I can't think Grealish and co's confidence would be dented too much by Vassilev and the lads getting a beating. Liverpool sure weren't shaken too much by our mauling of their kids.

Plenty of high balls up to our big target men ...

Is it just a matter of time...

Does the away goals rule apply to these semi finals?

dont think so, not after normal time anyway if the teams are tied

No they used to only apply after extra time but they changed it last season. Straight to penalties now after 90 mins of second leg. Extra time for final only!

So close to 2-0. Konsa off the bar.

Utd fan here. Watching Grealish closely and it just dawned on me he’s Totti incarnate! Must have definitely idolised him as a kid? And to be fair to him he’s doing a damn good impression of him on the pitch. Sublime player.

    Aw man. So close.

he would buy and sell maddison, he is a better player

    Definitely, a tier above.

Looked very solid formation wise in that half. It seems to fill a lot of the holes that the team has had this season, in midfield especially, and allow more break up of play. Taylor is a worry and Nakamba has had a shaky half but mostly pretty good half overall.

Mings is so important to the team as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

First 15 min going to be very important in 2nd half. Conceded too many quick goals after the restart this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86

    Goal keeper has looked solid

We have 4 really awfull players out of 11

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,245 ✭✭✭Esse85

Taylor is such a useless little weasel.

he is still better than targett

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Targett is better player imo. Taylor is pretty much a player less once he crosses the half way line.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

One thing we seem better at today is counter attacking. With 2 fast players around grealish we are able to break quickly and get numbers over. It's something we struggled with earlier in the season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,245 ✭✭✭Esse85

Just a matter of time before Leicester score.

More than happy to have Nyland in goal for the rest of the season, he can't distribute the ball for **** but he's a solid shot stopper

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,442 ✭✭✭basillarkin

nyland so far has been excellent

    Man City’s website.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,078 ✭✭✭Patser

Indiana Vasilev - that's a Hollywood hero name right there.

    Nyland's rejuvination continues....

But by God, can se string at least 3 passes together and keep ball for more than 30 seconds

And like that, what a pathetic goal to concede - from our own free kick out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,788 ✭✭✭✭JPA

Ridiculous. And it was all going so well.

How the hell does luiz play for brazil

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Pity to give away a goal like that. Bit of mental tiredness I think. Konsa shouldn't be playing the pass and Luiz needs to be more awake.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,442 ✭✭✭basillarkin

    luiz is ****e

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,245 ✭✭✭Esse85

Typical of this football club to give a goal away like that, I'm not sure who was to blame more, Luiz or Konza.

We'll do well not to lose this now.

He has played once for Brazil. So has Wesley.

Its effectively his first season in English football despite signing from City. You would hope he's still adapting.

But he's been disappointing despite a couple of crackers.
