Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    People fund addiction everyday, some are good at hiding it and have the resources to keep their shyt together, for now!.

    Do people stop paying their TV license fee as Gerry Ryan died a drug addict are they are worried the current crop in RTE are on the marching powder everynight? Of course not.

    I'm in recovery from addiction myself. I'm aware it's not exclusive to those in poverty or on the streets. It's harder to swap an sandwich for drugs/alcohol than cash. I know that they're going to get whatever they're going to get anyway, and yeah it is none of my business, but I'd prefer to give a bit of food that may fill a hungry belly than cash that will potentially go towards the poison of their choice. Maybe my conscience is the only thing benefitting but c'est la vie. Is your point that I shouldn't have given anything, or that instead of buying the sandwich I should have just given him the cash? :confused:

    Go to a GP...ask for help. Reach out to the government support systems that are in place. You'll get much more help than someone throwing 10 cents in to a cup.

    If giving money to beggars was illegal and punishable how much longer would our roma friends stay here?

    Nope never been to LA. But I did notice law Vegas having a severe homeless issue.
