Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got an email from Crypto.com this afternoon

Upon request by Wirecard UK, we will be temporarily suspending crypto top-ups to EUR wallet on the MCO Visa Cards today.

We believe it’s a temporary inconvenience and are working on a solution to re-enable this feature as soon as possible.

    With kind regards,
    The Crypto.com Team

I've the card on the way, but this reduces the value of it considerably in my eyes. :(

    Yes got the same.

The way I read it (I could be wrong), it might not be such a huge deal.

I think what they mean is that you won't be able to directly top-up you debit card balance with lets say bitcoin.

But as far as I understand it, there shouldn't be anything preventing you from selling your bitcoins for euros in your FIAT wallet, and then using these euros to top-up your debit card balance.

It means one more step in the process which obviously is a step backwards in terms of ease of use; but as a temporary work around it is not a huge deal.

I took it to mean the card is essentially Euro only for now with no ability to swap Crypto in or out. Hopefully you're right and I'm wrong. We'll see.

Lads jus a quick crypto.com app question.
Is anyone else not able to access the app settings via the gearwheel on top left of the app home screen?

i.e, in the app home tab, top of the screen on the left side.
Tapping settings does absolutely nothing, screen is fine and that zone responds to touch in other apps.

    Anyone else? Or just me.

Funny I was tracking that but was able to topup with Revolut's debit card yesterday. Woops, can't read, it was only Euro card topup with crypto that was down...

    Thanks for that.
It gets stranger, if I force the crypto.com app into Landscape mode it works!

Generally that would point to a touchscreen/digitiser issue and a resultant deadapot on the panel.

Thing is that when I run touchscreen diagnostics, the entire panel passes fine but in particular every touch on the top left registers perfectly.

It has me stymied, I can work around it.
It's just that what would normally almost 100% be a handset issue, this time definitely isn't.

Anyone who applied for their card on/after the 6/6 received it yet?

I have started investing some spare cash into CRO. The 1St July i bought CRO and staked it for 3 months at 16% right away. My plan is to buy more the next 2 months and have 3x 3 month earnings revolving, one finishing and being reinvested with the earnings every month. The time to buy CRO is just after a syndicate, there is always a drop in price as people dump their staked CRO they bought to get into the syndicate

Is there a Timetable that shows when these Syndicates take place?

I thought there was a minimum amount required for staking CRO. Can you just buy small amounts regularly and get a high % return?

I'm also trying to choose a card. Do you have to wait 6 months for the cards that require MCO staking before receiving the cards?

The syndicates are at least once a month, the next one is the 14th but I'm not ready to invest then, I'll wait until next month's as I'm paid the last day of the month

The minimum you can invest in earn for CRO is 5000, it's different for each. At the moment 5000 CRO is €630, it was 560 last week, it's on a constant steady upward trend but drops right after a syndicate

You get the card and the benefits as soon as you've staked MCO, it's locked away for 6 months. Once you remove the stake you'll loose the benefits

    Thanks, that's helpful.

What is the returned interest rate on the staked CRO?

    Am I correct in this:
Assuming you have sayings to invest, in order to get the best CRO rate it's better to buy the minimum of 5000 CRO for around €600 after the 14th of every month.

Staking CRO for 3 months returns 16%apr, 1 month 14% or flexible at 12% with a minimum 5000 CRO stake.

The syndicate isn't always the 14th, you get plenty of notice through emails and in app ads, just have the Fiat there ready to buy when it's over. The last syndicate was one of the last days of June

You might be aware already, but if you stake the CROs on the exchange you can get 20% interest (but they are stuck in their for the first 6 months).

If you stake CRO for 3 months and then withdraw it do you receive 16%?

Can you sign up for notifications of the Syndicates. I don't see any option to do so in the app.

No, it's 16%APR (annual percentage rate), it's paid weekly
The updates are through email you'll also see than in crypto news on the app homepage

Interests are paid weekly, and after 3 months you will have received 4% of your principle (a quarte elf the 16% annualised rate).

Will you receive the remaining 12% if you withdraw after 3 months or just receive the 4%.

I'm trying to decide who to use between Crypto.com and Nexo.io for passive income.

Nexo have an offer where you earn 25% on your assets if you keep 10% of your Assets(either Fiat or Crypto) in Nexo Tokens. You also receive dividends on the Tokens.

You'll get 16% if you reinvest again for the full year but after each 3 months you'll have more to reinvest

Has the CRO price been stable? 16% is a great return if the price could be relied on.

I mentioned CRO in the “getting excited” thread a few times before but no one ever picked up the conversation, somehow it seems to have been under most people’s radar even though it’s been rising strongly and steadily this whole year (besides a correction when bitcoin had a flash crash in March).

Its value really depends on the success and the good will of Crypto.com though (I suspect the token price is rising because they are increasing their user base and offering many benefits to coin holders using their large reserve of unreleased CROs giving an incentive to accumulate them, this will probably have to stop at some point).

I'd be fearful of doing my plan with 6 month staking, 6 months is a long time

Depends on perspective and strategies I guess. For a HODLer it is a short timeframe, but for sure for a day trader it is like eternity.

(and of course once it is staked there is no escape door for the full 6 months in case things turn negative, so as with crypto trading people need to be able to stomach large loses on the staked amount, so being CRO or any token issued by a company offering benefits for staking it, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to lock in what they consider be a large sum of money).

With the Flexible rate being 12% it might be the better option. I'm not clear from the attached table from the article below if staking is necessary for the Flexible plan.

On the other end, with staking on the exchange once the initial 6 months have passed you keep getting 20% and you can withdraw anytime.

I guess it depends on how much people are concerned about the whole thing collapsing in the next 6 months. But then if someone thinks it won’t sustain for even 6 months, is there really much interest in the yield? (interests are more if a long term game, as opposed to speculation)

The sign-up bonus you received is in MCO and there probably isn't an MCO/LINK trading pair. You might have to sell the MCO for euros first and then use the euros to buy LINK.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was thinking of just getting the Basic Card because I don't use Spotify or Netflix but now I might go for the next tier that requires the stake of 50 MCO.

I just signed up to the exchange and they have a promotion that gives 2% bonus on your first Crypto Deposit.

Do you know if this Deposit must stay on the Exchange or can it be moved to the App? I've noticed that the MCO bonus does not show up in my account balance on the Exchange.

Took advantage of the Bonus on exchange deposit there to the maximum offered of 2%/5000CRO it automatically stakes onto your exchange account.
Little perks like interest on exchange holdings and rebates on buy/sell fees are also a nice extra.

Can see myself moving more of my trading to this platform than my current main exchange(Kraken).

I think the CRO bonus is automatically staked for 6 months. I presume from this that the Deposit must stay on the exchange also. Make sure to enable 2 Factor Authentication.

Deposit is yours to with as you please. There are some trading requirements that "may" be enforced but I doubt it.
Even if you dont meet those trading requirements, you still hae the benefit of the 6months even if they were subsume a portion of the bonus upon expiry.

As for 2FA, of course ;)

I believe they are separate wallets in that the 50 MCO I staked for the debit card does not appear as a balance in the exchange.

I am not using the exchange much and could miss something, but my understanding is that with the exception of having CROs on there for the various benefits it gives (20% interest, cheaper fees, access to syndicate events), there is little point in leaving anything on the exchange which you don't intend to trade in the near future.

Btw, maybe there should be a separate thread for Crypto.com? (recent questions aren't really related to the card)

If someone is using another card they're free to post here I guess. I'd be interested if there is someone using another card that they actually think is better?

Crypto.com's product looks the best one out there at the moment. Have had both a Tenx (remember them? :) ) and Wirex card in the past and both had issues. Having said that, I've yet to actually receive mine!
