I remember in the 70s and 80s local photographer would occasional get a ride in a helicopter or plane and get pictures of local houses and sell them so I would try there first

This is one of the legendary photographers of the time. It may not be the person who did the individual house photos - they might have been done by random local or travelling photographers.

The Morgan collection is available online - so you could start there. If the house is in a town, there's a good chance it might be available there.

Another big collection of aerial photos is "Britain from Above" - which, despite the name, has lots from Ireland :

Thank you for helping me find a potential answer to this query in this matter. I have a specific topic in mind, Where will I locate the largest collection of antique photographs?

This is probably the largest (online, anyway) : https://www.nli.ie/en/online-catalogue.aspx

Other local or county libraries and museums will also have local collections for their own areas.
