Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sad day for the staff. First of many I suspect. They trade under 10 different names so the impact of this one group will be substantial. Hope that compensation fund has plenty of money in it.

Apparently the Aviation Commissioner also announced that Paul Caffey tours was gone as part of the JWT collapse.

That came as news to Paul Caffey. News at one just had to issue a lengthy clarification.

But yet newly created JWT Sports is continuing and taking over as tour provider for different groups. Whole thing sounds like a way to dodge all their debts and start fresh

Start afresh? They are wiped out.
    3 brothers ran it.
Their father started the package holiday business in Ireland.

Much more of this to come if we stay on this ridiculous road, surprised they lasted this long, no business in over a year.

Really? Then why not look up jwt sports? Their website seems very much open for business unlike the main joe walsh website. And look who owns it, why it's Cormac Walsh. Would he happen to be Joe's son? And look how now jwt sports has suddenly become the new agent for Leinster team travel, Paul claffey tours, etc.. Now look up Petriva Ltd, aka jwt sports and in the last year it looks like they've been quietly spun off as a complete separate company from Joe walsh pilgrimtours.. now to me that looks very much like this has been planned for quite awhile..
And JWT? What exactly do you think the J W T stands for?

"A glance at the last set of filed accounts for Azulu Holdings Ltd – for 2018 – shows there was also a bank loan of €7.9 million relating to a property investment by a subsidiary company"

    I.Times article

Another article and no reference whatsoever to the new JWT Sport website, even if they probably won't be doing trips to Lourdes.

    Its a separate company mate.
If you think or allege there's something illegal, then flag it with CAR or the liquidators in KPMG.

Am not saying what's been done is illegal but you would think that the Irish Times would note the 'related company' if you want to you want to call it that has been set up.

JWT has not fully disappeared as they are suggesting os all i'll say.

Sunday Business Post today reporting that the state could pick up a €1.2m shortfall as a result of JWT and six other travel agents going bust.

Handy getting the taxpayer to pick up some of the tab while they spin off part of the old business to a new one (with no debt).
