What a character on top gear, brilliant. She brought my cousin around nurburgring many years ago, forget which car they were in but he said she scared him half to death, unbelievable driver he said. RIP

RIP. With this attempt alone she'll be immortal.

Only woman to win the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, and she won it twice, had her own racing team as well; Frikadelli Racing, Frikadell being a German meatball.

Yeah, that was my favourite appearance. Such a pity.

My 1st introduction to Sabine as anything other than a "driver", was her absolutely brilliant drive of that Ford Transit around the Nurbugring in that iconic episode of TG.

Her talent, her sparkling personality and her desire for any edge at all, even down to taping shot lines and panel joins.

What a woman, what a driver and the world of motor racing is a lesser place without her.

2021 is turning out to be a horrible year ...first the Legendary Murray Walker and now Sabine..... :(

    RIP Queen of the Ring.

Just heard it there. Really sad at that age. Always liked her on TG. Was only watching the "demolition derby" episode there with her in it. Never realised she was unwell

Way too young, her appearances on Top Gear were marvellous.

    Rest in peace.

RIP Sabine Schmitz. She was a brilliant Women.

Would have loved to have seen her drive an F1 car. I would say she would have managed it no bother.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
