Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Kciuk is no pub player he has a tour card. Suprised he's averaging 50? Not watching this night

Didn't know he had tour card but he was poor in the first couple of legs and was averaging 50 by the third leg. Saying that Heta was scoring heavily

Not really clear to me who has the final call on which players face each other.

Like if you have Team A with #3 and #16 in the world, and Team B with #23 & #156, then the order is crucial.
    If it's 3 v 23 and 16 v 156 then its likely a 2-0 game.
But if its 3 v 156 and 16 v 23 then there's a better chance of a 1-1 game and going to the lottery of the pairs.

It's up to the players who goes first. They don't know the order of other team when they pick either.

Terrible tournament this is. Should be all pairs matches would make it some bit interesting.

I hear ya, and that's what I thought. But then Mardle seemed to suggest that Belgium were able to change the order that they'd originally submitted. (Obviously it may be a figment of Mardle's imagination)

Yesterday was terrible with all the 2-0s. Hopefully today will be a bit better. Some good ties on paper.
In general though I always use this tournament when people suggest darts should apply to the Olympics. This is largely what the field would be, except it would be slightly lower quality as Scotland/Wales/England/NI wouldn't have separate players. And with the Olympic rule that all new sports must have an equivalent women's competition there'd also be 32 or 64 female players from around the globe which would be a tough watch.

Enjoyable afternoons darts with 4 close matches all going to the doubles game.
England in particular were charmed, with Cross coming from 3-1 down again Rowby to take it the pairs. The Austrian missed 107 match darts (it seemed).
Holland beaten by Germany 4-3 in the pairs decider, the Dutch missed some match darts in the final leg.

So England v Belgium, and Wales v Germany.

I actually really enjoyed the tournament, yesterday in particular had some good games. Despite what some people think, it clearly means a lot to the players.

Delighted for Wales, they were deserving winners.

Some people seem to think the players try less when a tournament isn't ranked or something.

Didn't watch much of this, Wales we're always going to win it fairly easily. Price is going to win the slam or world's I feel. He's just ahead of everyone else.

Don’t think we’re a shoe in to win it, the short format can cause upsets.

    Happy they win it though
