Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

4.82 run rate, better than last time out but they need to up somewhat to make a game of it.

    190/6 CRR 4.87

Fûck sake, no dive, just sauntering to the other end, poor from Adair.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,793 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Bout time the umpires started calling some of these bouncers as wides

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,800 ✭✭✭county

220/8 with a few overs to go,some boundaries would be useful now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,793 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

235 probably the best score we can get to after that wicket fell. Just not going to be anyway competitive. Pity, we were much better and finding the boundary, early in the innings certainly today but still loads of give away wickets.

How the sweet fûck is that not a wide. Poor end from Ireland but the umpiring,,, hmmm

237/9 in the end. McCarthy with a six to finish. At least the 59 overs were batted out.

Same old problems. Several ‘contributing’ but AGAIN...only one batsman getting 50+.

Tbh, if I was offered batting the full 50 overs and given 237 I probably would have taken it at the start.

There's a lot of players who show signs, it's positive everyone made somewhat of a start. They can score runs at this level. If we bowl well we might only lose by 3 wickets.

McCarthy seems handy with the bat. Wouldn't mind seeing him a place higher maybe. McBrine didn't seem confident with the bat at all. His SR was so low not because he was trying to preserve wickets but it's all his talent would allow him. Fair enough, handy spinner, have him in the team but McCarthy seems a better batter.

Very encouraging start with the ball and in the field and as I’m typing West Indies loose their first wicket... game very much on... 6.2 overs bowled and WI only 17 runs.

Another couple of wickets would definitely make it interesting, 3 down as I type

    3 down

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,793 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Run rate less then 3. 3 wickets down.... then we go back to instead of building pressure it’s a wide wide.

    26/3 off 9 overs,interesting!!

Hope and Pooran are key, get these and game on

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Shai Hope averages 52 and Pooran averages 49 so if they get in, Ireland will find it hard to get them out.

Ahhh man, floodgates opening here with Delaney bowling, 13 off 4 balls, looking nervous.

    Hope out 76-4

Big wicket, massive wicket. Get Pollard early and we have them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,793 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Sheeet, that’s some shot, a hole in the seat back there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,314 ✭✭✭BOHtox

Absolutely massive wicket. Google has probability of either side winning is 50:50. Windies were up at 75% the ball previous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,793 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Delaney not so disciplined, that delivery three balls ago could have been a no ball AND a wide.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

Might be an idea to temp Pollard, feed his ego. Let him have a few shots, then take some pace off it and get him caught.

Might not be, this pair could finish it in 12 overs

From a run rate of 3.4 to now 5.11 in a few overs, beginning to look ominous after a very good start.

Surely the best ball that Simi Singh has ever bowled.

Pooran is still looking to see where that ball went.
