Campervan in Portugal

Hi all i am planning a trip to Portugal next year and planning on renting a van and driving from Lisbon to Faro. Just checking if anyone on here has done this and has and tips/ recommendations. We have a camper here so well used to to practical side of it but haven't done it in Portugal. Thanks in advance :)
