FIFA Season 23 Rules Sticky - Please Read & Thank the post to show you have read them

INTRODUCTION:
The league is run by Axwell (Irish Wolverine) and Mr Moon (DJ DigitalMoose) who act as co-ordinators and organise the fixtures and results. Any queries should be sent by PM to both of them.


LEAGUE FORMAT:
Each team will play each other team twice. Each game consists of 2 x 7 minute halves. You may contact opponents via Boards or on PSN . Its recommended you add everyone first off on PSN.

GAME SETUP:
As there is no in game league setup this is very important so please take note!

The games are to be played via Online Friendlies Seasons mode.
From the ONLINE tab its the option on the bottom right ONLINE FRIENDLIES.

The settings are half length 7 mins and the squad type must be set to online - not custom. All other settings remain as they are.
It is vital you set the Squad type to Online so make sure you are familiar with setting this up.

Whoever is the home team for the fixture hosts the match and is responsible for the settings.

RESULTS
At the end of each game, make a note of the result and post them in the Results thread. Post these in a timely fashion, write them down and post them all at the end of the week or do it after you play. Dont leave it days and then try remember what the score was. We have enough to be doing without chasing people for correct results.

These results will be added to the main result post and league tables will be updated on a regular basis, a link to the tables can be found in Mr Moons signature. You may not play games in advance of the gameweek they belong unless given permission by the co-ordinators if for example you are going to be away. If you play them without permission your games will be void.

END OF SEASON:
At the end of every season, there will be promotion's and relegation's. Games unplayed at the end of the season will be void however both players are expected to make a full effort to play their fixtures. If a player is found to be avoiding playing their fixtures or not responding to messages and invites during the season action will be taken against them by the co-ordinators.

RULES:
In order to maintain the league, a number of rules have been laid out. Any violations of this code of conduct can be sent to the league co-ordinators and each issue will be investigated.

1) Disconnections:
No player is allowed to intentionally disconnect for any reason. Any disconnections during a league game must be made known to the league co-ordinators. However, accidental disconnections do occur and the rules have been written to take this into account. If a player disconnects while they are winning, a rematch is immediately scheduled. However, if a player disconnects while drawing or losing the game, the usual is for the players to continue the remaining time in a new game - obviously give or take and lets not be ridiculous looking to play games which disconnect with less than 5 mins left.

Each player is responsible for their own connection so make sure others arent online using your internet which may cause lag or connection issues..

2) Game play rules:
Fifa 18 is a soccer simulation but there is an element of sporting play which we expect from people playing in the league.

Last man tackles - last defender taking out the striker on purpose to stop them scoring. It wont be tolerated, there is no need for it.

Tip off goals - this is a glitch in some versions of Fifa. Tipping off and running forward with the receiving player on a solo run scoring a goal is making use of the glitch and not allowed - this has been said numerous times already. If you do it don't expect a warning, you have read the rules. For the sake of fairness just tip and pass the ball between your players so as not to be accused of using the glitch.

After that anything else is considered normal however obviously if we find out someone is using a glitch or cheating that wont be tolerated. We expect people to play in a fair manner, if you cant then find another league.


3) Holidays:
If a player is going away on holidays and unable to play their fixtures for a short period then they must contact the co-ordinators in advance and let them know. They will post on the fixtures thread a note to allow that player to play the games for the weeks he is away in advance. Only those fixtures can be played in advance and any others will be void if played. This one people seemed to ignore last season, if you are going to be away at least have the courtesy to tell us so people know you are away.

4) Unplayed fixtures:
Due to the amount of unplayed fixtures in previous seasons there is a rule to make sure people make an effort to play their games. Each week we will be monitoring people's progress, and if we find people aren't making the effort to play their games they will be kicked from the league and all games played/unplayed will be cancelled.

Every player is responsible for their own fixtures and getting them played. Best practice is to contact them with a message on PSN and/or a PM on boards.ie.

If you find a player is not responding to your messages about organising fixtures then contact the co-ordinators.

At the end of the season any games unplayed by players will be penalised going forward into the next season and this will affect your position in picks so its up to you to play your games. For missing not playing 1 game you will be penalised 1 point, for 2 games 2 points and so on..this will affect your league position at the end it is applied afterwards and will change your position when it comes to team picks so it is in everyone's interest to get their games played.

5) People Quitting Mid Season:
Due to various reasons we have players who sometimes are unable to complete the league season. If a player quits they are automatically placed at the bottom of the table and will take one of the relegation places at the end of the season. This allows us to keep a group of players in each league who are dedicated to playing their games and making the season enjoyable for everyone involved.

Also due to the abilities of the next gen consoles you can record your games. If have a major complaint about the way a game was played you can use this to share the video of the game with myself and Mr Moon. Do not expect us to look at every game just because it didn't go your way or the ref blew it up early. This is only for extreme cases.
