Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I get the ford part but how do u slea for the first pic and mods for the third?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

The first pic is the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy and then just assumed the last one was some reference to mods.

Wouldn't call that one easy at all.

Fair play for getting the first one...the second pic was a ford, a car would have been too easy..and the last is the Oxford Moderations honours, called Mods.....

I thought it was too hard...or No ones bothered....:D

    Dandy Warhols?

    None of those. Getting closer.

It's obviously Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol. Think of the kind of people they were.

No, good guess. The Dandy Warhols was a good guess too.

This band have a similar sounding name to a much more famous act.

    The Artisans?

    No. This band's name:

    1. Two words that can be used to describe Dali and Warhol together
    2. Sounds similar to a more famous band's name.

    This band:

    1. Have been going for a long while
    2. Are from Ireland or Britain
    3. Were fairly well-known in their early days and are not so popular now.

Is there a band called The Luminaries that I don't know?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭UrbanSprawl

mmh well there is the The Lumineers but they from USA.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,429 ✭✭✭Sheridan81

They're a British band. In their early days, they were sort of indie rock, reminiscent of The Libertines (in my opinion at least). I don't know what they sound like now. I didn't think this one was that hard. I reckon you'll kick yourselves if you don't get this one. I'll reveal all in 24 hours. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Yeah, that would be the similar sounding similar more famous band...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,429 ✭✭✭Sheridan81

    No.

This band's name sounds similar to a more famous band's name.

Their music sounded like The Libertines (just in my opinion-others may disagree). :)

Another clue: The more famous band are an very popular old band who are still around.
