Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    My understanding is Citizen Kane's fame is about context; not pretending to be a cinematic expert but IIRC what propels it into myth was being one of the first properly "cinematic" films, creatively using the camera to frame and compose scenes as part of the theme and storytelling. Up until then film tended to be very point-and-shoot, more like recorded stage plays than versatile, dynamic compositions that really let the camera be part of the action.

    I'd recommend It's a Wonderful Life if you haven't seen it. I was 25 before I saw it. Takes a good 20 or 30 minutes to settle into it, but then it's great.

    I saw it again a couple of years ago and I think it's masterful.

    Stands the test of time well and I think it's one of the scariest/creepiest films ever.
