Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, I like Dance/Trance/Electronic music. I've been using FL Studio for years but it's been very much on and off for long periods of time so I'm still pretty amateur. I think I've some good ideas but still can't get seem to finish my tracks the way I want them to sound. Sharing tips/ideas would be great.

19 tracks and everyone is called "Demo" :)
Finish them and name them properly and then share them in relevant Soundcloud groups so people can listen to them!
You need to move on from them if you cant finish. I never upload anything to Soundcloud unless its a finished song as thats how people will judge your music. If you only post demos then what incentive is there for anyone to come back to your profile?

    Just my 2 cents!

I completely get what you're saying, and I've tried to finish tracks but I'm never happy with the result. I have thought about deleting them all and only uploading finished tracks but I don't want to do that until I can finish them where they actually have that professional quality I'm looking for.

My profile is just to show my ideas and what I can come up with. The reason I'm sharing it is to get advice on my tracks so that I can finish them.

I had some fully length tracks up on YouTube quite a while back but I didn't want to name them until I could fix the quality.

Some great stuff. My personal preference would be in the direction of tracks like 'Neuron' and the middle section of 'I have a thing for you' (epic stuff). On the more mellow side I like the laid-back acid of 'The Rush'

I'd really appreciate any tips on getting the big bass sounds. I can never seem to get any volume into my sub-bass sounds (despite messing around with compression and EQ'ing). Admittedly I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing in the compression line

Here's the first single from my upcoming new album, the 7th Geisha album to date!

I enjoyed making this one as I decided to shy away from sticking to a particular concept or stylistic approach, which I had done for the last three albums. So it was great to be able to throw everything and the kitchen sink at these tracks.

This single is sort of like Fatboy Slim-meets-Spiritualized, if such a thing can be imagined! Others might think different. ;)
