Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I am thinking of taking up longboarding and was wondering where is the best place to get a cheap one. I have been using my friends zinc longboard which he bought from Argos for €15 and I think something like that would be perfect but they no longer sell it. Thanks

Tbh, you're better off getting a proper board online than going with some cheap stuff from Argos.

Have a look on adverts and donedeal.ie
    http://www.adverts.ie/for-sale/q_longboard/

If you like looong longboards :)

What brands do Skate City in Temple Bar have and does anybody have any idea of their prices? I posted on their FB page recently and got no response. Or if anyone can tell me of other shops in Dublin that sell longboards it'd be great :)

are you looking to jsut go around cruising the streets or bomb hills? you will need to consider a few of these things before you get a complete deck. it could be cheaper to order a deck online and buy specific hardware locally or any the other way around, complete set-ups can be the wrong way to go about it as when you progress you will quickly outgrow the sub par parts.
    note for yourself:

1: if you want the board for transportation and leisure, get a flexible deck as it will be more comfortable, trucks and bearings are your main concern here.

2:for speed, avoid flexi decks and go with a stiff deck, proper set of at least 80mm wheels are needed and bearings would be of imprtance as well. trucks not so much because they all do there job and you just roll with tight set.

also, check sector 9 website, amazon.ie, ebay. look to spend €100 euro minimum. you'll thank yourself in a few years.
