Do the irish government have directed energy weapons and have they tested them ?

They are chiefly laser,and (not so much at the moment) microwave, + definitely a no. Loads is being spent on laser tech for space, but its big down here too.

And OP, the answer is Yes.
Both at infantry level & on vehicle mounts, we have lots of energy weapons.

The Irish army phased out bullets nearly 15 years ago.
Now it's just good old ion bolts from the ol' plasma fusion powered pulse rifles.

Even hunters & farmers have largely switched to direct energy laser weapons

I hope they've tested them tbh op, otherwise how would you know if they work correctly...

Anyway there is some grainy footage on the internet of an alleged test, judge for yourself. This appears to have been filmed somewhere in Leitrim
