Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Let’s throw it up on the path, on the precise spot with the dropped kerbs designed to allow wheelchair users, parents with buggies, people with walking frames to pass.

Ballinteer, for a couple of hours at least.

Actually took this a few weeks ago, some arrogant c*ock in Tesco Mullingar

    Lidl, Tallaght village.

'Looks like decent enough parking to me' I hear you say.

Well yes until you find out - keys in ignition, car engine running and with two kids in it (7-9 year old's) for at least the 7 mins I observed as Jacinta looked for bargain wine. Probably burned a ltr of diesel during that time.

    To the driver of 09 D 128408 :- you are a complete ******* cabbage!

Is there a special badge you can get that says you're a cretin that you can put on the dash for these people?

Painter working on the lodge across from Donnybrook bus garage decides that the footpath is for him and him alone.

Don’t have the kids with you? You’re still a mother, take a space.

    Actually, take two, they’re small.

Lets just call it..eh...'an unconventional approach to parking' shall we

If you want tips on parking properly...ask a professional driver...they know their s**t about parking.

If people were clamped for parking like this, I'd be ok with it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 194 ✭✭[Steve]

    Woodies, Waterford.

Driver of Qashqai had just come out of Woodies, had left it parked like that. Transit isn’t much better.

    Impressively awful parking really.

Cretin in the red car tried to say he was properly/legally parked🤬

In a disabled spot with no badge. And not even really in it. Out into road far enough that traffic had to stop till other lane clear to go around.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,067 ✭✭✭✭neris

Busy Saturday in howth and this wanker taking up 5 spaces. At least the others with trailers unhitched and took up only 2 spaces

Car on double yellows, Tesco van on double yellows, council van on footpath. Literally cannot see oncoming traffic. Emailed to council. Nothing will be done.

Can you call it parking at all?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,565 ✭✭✭K.Flyer

I took a double take when I saw this.

    This is actually parked!

Who in their right mind thinks it's ok to park like this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 194 ✭✭[Steve]

    Tesco Ardkeen, Waterford.

Fairly common to see the so-called drop off point used for parking, most keep their vehicles in off the road. This one however..

This dope parks in a corner and makes two spaces unusable as they'd effectively be blocking him.

I was tempted but wouldn't risk them damaging my car in spite.

Close to a packed carpark at Supervalu Knocklyon an hour ago and you had these two - the KN Group van was first just sitting there, blocking the narrow laneway out to the exit on those two behind. Few minutes later when I finished with the shopping, it was now happily occupying almost 5 spaces.

No need to even comment on the Q7.

    I'm a pr!ck in a beemer & I can block 3 spaces in a busy hotel car park 🙄

Parks daily in a disabled spot but completely mobile. Got aggressive when asked ( nicely) to consider that people with disabilities might need the spot. Glasnevin, Na Fianna CLG

They had a disabled parking permit on display but certainly were not making life easy if anyone else needed the other disabled parking space directly opposite - the front wheels of this car are in it. 🤷‍♀️

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 7,365 Mod ✭✭✭✭HildaOgdenx

    Same carpark, today.

Let's fling the car in the general direction of space(s)... 🙄

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 194 ✭✭[Steve]

    Costa, Waterford.

Didn't know the Gardai could drive around with faded L plates 🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 501 ✭✭✭HorseSea

Taken while pushing a wheelchair, after going around on the road I realised the driver was sitting in it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,676 ✭✭✭✭greenspurs

You could fill the thread with pics from that car park alone ....🙄

Why park in the layby (made specifically for that purpose) when you can block the footpath as well?

The second picture really shows how tight it is getting past. This isn't a one-off either - this person repeatedly parks like this.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 22,407 CMod ✭✭✭✭Pawwed Rig

Mind boggling that anyone thinks this is ok

The cars on the far side of the road are barely any better

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 894 ✭✭✭NTC

Hopefully you can see the black car on a yellow box. I am in third car in the exit of a car park that this guy blocked!

Took this photo after waiting 30 minutes for the guards to arrive (they never arrived).

    I Tuam today

To quote the great Woody Allen "It's OK I'll get a taxi to the kerb"

At least they're not parked on the double yellow line

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 7,365 Mod ✭✭✭✭HildaOgdenx

Same carpark, yesterday, and indeed the same carpark most of my posts are from. Don't know why the second image is sideways but it makes no difference. 😁

ETA, that's the second time I have spotted the car in the second image flung in the general direction of a space, or two...
