Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone happen to know a local stockist, please?

That's the brand name that google throws up. It needs to be a " resorcinol/phenol/formaldehyde " glue.

Top link on google gives a shop which is telling us about it. Rang them? Never heard of it :( But, I'll bet not Every glue seller is on google ;)

    Anyone?

    Thanks.

    What for?

Cascamite might do it, is available in builders providers.

Wooden fish tank, basically. My advice? Don't Even Try! :D Honestly; It's become a bloody nightmare!

Google this subject, and there's loads of these real Fish Geek types. Marine tanks half the size of the living room. There's even calculators that provide ye an exact cutting plan and list of bits. These are the boys who have built these things.

They stated a certain paint. It took me months of heart ache to get it. Then, I realise this " Waterproof Glue " Isn't the Evo Stick I have in my shed!

Considering I'll have well over a Ton, weight, of water in my living room? " might do it " isn't cutting it. It Must Be resorcinol/phenol/formaldehyde.

See; " Cascamite " may contain something which will, eventually, leach into the water.

Really appreciate the suggestion. But, I'm just not willing to try and second guess these boys. No second chances with this job.

    Thanks.

Well Gorilla Glue is formaldehyde based but not aquarium safe, apparently.

I would go with specialist aquarium product to be safe.

    Exactly, sir!

In fact, it's on record: Someone tried it with Gorilla ..... Thar She Blew!!!

I shouldn't be peeing myself with laughter. But, imagine that! I'll bet the wife killed him! LMAO!

    Yep. Axminster UK. First place I found. Devil's in the detail though;

They'll send it by courier. " Courier won't make an International call and wants a land line number, in case they want to talk to you. " I've been down this road before. They locked my thread.

Rang the Irish agent for Axminster. Carpentry Shop, in Kildare? Something like that. Haven't got any. Don't think they'd even heard of it.

Another top lister on Google talks all about it but, doesn't stock it.

Like I say; I really need to find someone who's seen it in their local shop, so I can phone that shop and sort something out.

I'd have thought Marine Suppliers Ie would have appeared in the google search, if they held it? But, no. Fair play. Tomorrow I'll start ringing every Marine shop on google. Asking them.

I've been down this road already. I'm a lot calmer now. I just keep plodding along on my quest.

    Thanks.

You order online pay online and put parcel motel in. Couriers dont come into the equation. They have no say.

I've had loads of glue, tools, all sorts delivered by Axminster before, direct to Wicklow address via DHL, not sure what the problem is.

Am I completely misunderstanding their land line clause, so? Or is this just something they put for reasons best known to themselves?

Perhaps I should stop reading small print and throw money at people, no questions asked? It seems to work for everyone else who answers my posts :(

The Irish number won't be international from the perspective of the DHL dude who arrives at your doorstep.

No offence. But you don't have a breeze what your talking about. I've ordered of Axminster before.

The fact you are not listening to what your told doesn't bode well.

If you want to be a strop about advice then continue on. If you want to put the landline of parcel motel in then do that .

    You choose.

I know a place in Dublin 8 that has it in stock.

Apologise to Listermint for being rude and ignorant and I’ll tell you where.

Just stick the phone number of Parcel Motel in there. If the courier has any problems delivering it to them, which they almost certainly won't, that's who they'd need to call.

:DExcellent! So, That's what they mean?

I'll email them and point this out. It could be put more clearly, don't ye think?

Anyway; That'll be my glue on its way, next week then! :D

Thanks, as ever, for ye help :)

Damn! Nice call, Xs. Seems they must only deal in glass tanks. They didn't have a clue what I was asking about :( Nor had I, till I googled the 'scientific' name of this stuff.

    Thanks, anyway.

It's rare that I'd say to myself, 'there's a name I need to keep an eye on', in the DIY forum of all places. Alas, I shall keep an eye on said name. User infracted for overall thread performance, last post sealed the deal, thread locked.
