Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Work Contract - Big 4

    Hi there

I signed a contract 8 months ago that requires me to give 3 months notice in a job. After 8 months I have realised Big 4 is not for me and have been offered another job. Would it be normal to be held to the 3 months notice or should I be bale to negotiate down to 1 month fairly handy?

    Thanks

    Dave

Just go- they are not going to hold you to it- the PR would be awful

Might it be prudent to first have lunch with your boss / supervisor / tutor to see how they think you are progressing?

Does the new employer know you have a 3 month notice period?

Usually these things can be negotiated down, but it takes some movement on both sides

If the new employer is a client (or potential target client) of your current firm it can also help in the negotiation
