Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ye wa?

I'll be quite happy if Ulster come nowhere near that Toulon team this year! Someone else can knock them out for us! :pac:

I want to see us in the biggest game possible. Like Bordeaux 2012. Might as well do it properly!

    Too slow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

Cardiff won 6/6 once. As hard as that is to believe watching them now.

Best performance by Toulon that I've seen in ages, they look completely unstoppable and as for Jonny Wilkinson.......but I thought he could have done with a shave before the game as he looked like he had been sleeping rough. :D

In 2011 we had Clermont/Racing/Sarries in the groups (French/English champions) then European masters in Tigers and Toulouse in the knockouts before the greatest final ever. Ever since then I want the big games!

And at the beginning of the next season I asked for Clermont away and got my wish... :D

Well, lobbe was a bit ambitious.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

That was very un-Lobbe like! :(

    That Lobbe dude is terrible

Toulon go from great to awful. That was terrible defence.

Could say it was a bit of a lob(be) pass.

Why did they start Matawalu on the wing? He's wasted there. They'll be much better with him at 9, if RCT slack off he can make hay.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,105 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Oul Matawalu is prone to tackling himself quite a bit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,973 ✭✭✭19543261

Why IS Matawalu on the wing anyway?? I thought he wasnt playing at all for the first half

Wasnt he their top points scorer last season? Or close to it, anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

Potentially Gonna be four times as many try bonus points in this group, than in all of the rest out together.

Great 2nd half performance by Glasgow, happy with a try bonus point

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,973 ✭✭✭19543261

YESSSS!!!! matawalu is the fulcrum of all this, he's creating all the space. His short passes are absolutely superb, he just floats them for an eternity.

Well its just like the Exeter game...game essentially over by Half time, team in the ascendancy loses all concentration and motivation, underdogs scrap their way back....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

    Glasgow winning 2nd half 28 - 10

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

Obviously pro 12 teams are better in the second half because we all rested last week....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,883 ✭✭✭shuffol

Racing and Clermont have a lot to live up to later. Two games today and every teams got a try bonus point.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,973 ✭✭✭19543261

Was this weekend the first time Sky broadcast every single match live? Hopefully they do that for the remainder of the pool matches.

I'm pretty sure they did it last year too?

Good result for Glasgow in the end. They got what they needed!

Leinster and Ulsters games clash next weekend which is a pity.

They usually do but last year i think some of the Zebre games weren't broadcast.

I would have liked to see a rear angle of the Paul Sackey disallowed try. Call me crazy but I think he got it.
