Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Class, I wonder if it's like a prequel to LiS 2 or a way to finish to that story for good so they can focus on new characters and locations.

Think it's to give some closure to that timeline as think it's seen as the non canon choice. If a sequel was made with same characters, etc, it will probably be based on the other ending

About an hour into Episode 1 so far. Does it get better? I'm finding the dialogue almost too cringey to continue playing.

1st ep can be slow building the story and playing it, i didn't know how these teenage girls could draw me into their world but i got more and more hooked as episodes went on. One of my favourite stories and worlds by the time it ended so I'd recommend finishing the 1st ep before deciding before you will keep going or not.

Saying that, i can see how the story/writing wouldn't be for everyone.

Hated episode 1 and nearly chucked it in. Don't know what made me continue on as I hated the main characters. Anyway, got completely sucked it and loved it. I think it was about halfway through episode 2 that I really got into it.

Was also another who didn't like episode 1 but stuck with it. I was gripped by the end of episode 2.

I gave up on this after episode 1... maybe should revisit given comments above

Yeah, the gap between episode 1 and 2 for me was massive and that was after all episodes had released. I then went back to it and played the remaining 4 episodes within a week, I think.
Of course, if you're looking for an action packed game, it's not for you but if happy to play a good story it's great.
Played the prequel earlier this year as well and the bonus episode pretty much had me shouting at the screen when I realised what was going to happen.

    Bay. :(
What made it worse was that through the story I was very much pro-bae and really liked how they handled the relationship but, despite reservations as to why I had visions of the storm BEFORE the initial time manipulation, it didn't seem right to condemn the entire town to death just to save one person who I got the impression was destined to die.
I watched the other ending after I had finished and yea, that one was considerably weaker than the other. Definitely could have done with a bit more exposition, not to guilt you after the fact, but at least to add some context as to how many people your decision affected as was done with the Bae ending.
Pity there was no DLC where I could sacrifice Warren instead.

Now play Before The Storm, it's absolutely brilliant.

I went with Bay, was a great ending and then instantly reloaded and went with Bae. It was weaker but glad i decided to end with that even though i did feel guilty.

Then playing Before the Storm made me so glad I went with Bae, it adds so much to the story. There is a bonus episode with the deluxe edition that is some of the greatest content in the entire franchise and highly recommend it.

I see the LiS2 is on sale on Steam.

The first was great once I got into it. Went Bay as well.
Before the Storm was good as well but for the bonus episode, I said before but
as I saw what was coming for the ending I was just saying to the tv "Ah, you can't do this to her!"

They continued the Bae ending in comic form

It's a weird one, if i wanted to play through these again, I'd just download and play the originals, out really didn't need a remaster, definitely not a 40 euro remaster with no upgrade option.

Yeah its one of those games that didn't need a remaster. Makes more sense for people who never played it before and have a PS5 or Series X
