Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Medium build

Whatever happened to Pros & Cons? I was reading 'Negs' as some weird condition of the legs (like cankles).

    Pros:

    Tall
Athletically able to a reasonable degree
Reasonably intelligent (with a propensity to be so dumb by times)
    Strong teeth
    Determined personality*

    Cons:

Dreadful skin - being a teenager was fun lads
Born with a rotating squint that they couldn't get quite right after a few ops
    Stubborn*
Apparently going bald - though one can't complain if they had their hair for 32 years I guess. We had a good run.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭pumpkin4life

Obesity if I'm not careful and strong probability of being bald. I get fat pretty quickly, so where as right now I'm in excellent shape, I have to be rigorous about it. Also every male in my family is bald and obese and went bald really young, which fùcking really sucks. A bunch of fùcking Homer Simpsons, happy days. That might make things a lot harder in the future.

Sides that though, in terms of myself and heredity issues, I've done pretty well.

In my opinion, none of those losses are actual genetic losses apart from asthma, and sweet tooth and clumsiness to a lesser extent.

I lost inheriting migraines:(. Not severe pain , but the whole aura , the dizzies, and generally feeling crap for a few days.

But I won with my dry sense of humour. Always find fun somewhere in the most horrible situations where strictly speaking I probably shouldn't.

Yep, though I get the pain too! I was very ill yesterday, and after being right-side blind last night, I'm still missing part of my vision on the right. :(

I'm really easy to get along with though, so there's that .... :)

I get that too. But with me, the 89 refers to the amount of times I've climbed Everest. It could also refer to the amount of times I've saved a puppy from certain death, but I don't have a 100% success rate sadly. I'm really sensitive so I'm a bit upset right now. I'll be grand, seriously, it's just hard because the puppies remind me of the friends I lost during my eighth tour of Aghan.

    Won:

    Nice eyes.

    Good colour hair.

Skinny with a fast metabolism as I've been the same weight for x amount of years even when I've eaten junk and healthy stuff.

    Lost:

Bad eye sight which appears to be getting worse yearly in one of the eyes.

Heart disease, cancer and other illness are inheritable.

Some other illnesses which I've inherited that I won't go in to. Gladly they're not terminal or debilitating. But can be managed.

Not so short but not too tall either.

I'd say women overwhelmingly prefer taller men but men on average have no preference for a woman's height.

That's really not true. I definitely prefer petit ladies.

    Won:

Didn't inherit the gene which has caused cancer in my family for generations.

    Lost:

    Oily skin/hair
