Hey - I'm signing up for Cervantes Spanish course. I can speak a small bit of Spanish, talk about myself and hobbies, ask for directions, and I know the rules for past and present verbs. My wife is Spanish so I have a bit of help at home too. I want to start at the beginning, but not the COMPLETE beginning.

I saw on their website that a Cervantes exam certificate is needed if you aren't starting from the beginning. Does anyone know from experience if I'm required to take an assessment exam if I'm skipping level A1 and starting on level A2?

I dropped into them there now, I needed to take a 20 min multiple choice test to allow me into A2 which I passed thankfully :)
