Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's the story with people ON HERE slagging off the other guy..
He only came out to see what all the shouting was for below, and then copped the wee boy.
Did you want him to waste valuable seconds/milliseconds by trying to get across to that other balcony!?he got hold of him asap and knew that SPIDERMAN was approaching...... The poor wee boy sees SPIDERMANS helper before he sees him.
    ffs some people.

Ah now.. I'm all for a debate on the migrant situation and how we should vet people but it has no place in this thread.

This lad is a genuine hero. Selfless, humble and a credit to himself and deserves all the rewards for his actions here.

This is the strange bit for me. The other guy actually had a hold of the kid, and I would expect any grown man to easily be able to lift a 4 year old by the arm. Thats not keyboard warrior opinion its just simple fact, 4 year olds are light and grown men can easily lift them. So why didn't he?

The only thing I can think of is that he saw the other guy coming and knew it would be a bit awkward if he had done the spiderman routine for no reason. Which would have been nice on his part but a little misguided.

Personally I would have not went up as far as the balcony the boy was hanging from. I would have just scaled up to the one below it and then got the other guy to drop him to me. Rookie error there on his part but still impressive all the same.
Tbh, I'm going to trust the judgement of the guy who was there over the amateur criticism of a fifth-hand bystander.

He clearly paused at the balcony below and looked at his options. He believed that catching or grabbing the child there was the worse option, so went up again.

It's pretty arrogant to think you have the insight to make any criticism of his actions.

    Eh, I was joking.
