Solid gold toilet worth €5.4m was stolen from Blenheim Palace. Police have nothing to go on.

Melt it down I assume?
Gold has a low melting point, so easier to do.

Well this was my first ever opening post in AH and the replies are exactly as I expected so I can't complain, but I thought this was the stupidest thing I ever heard of and one of the funniest. Bet the thing was melted down within hours.

The linked RTE article states that police believe at least 2 vehicles were involved in the robbery. Is this based on evidence of 'skidmarks' left at the scene?
