Hi, I have a concrete opening where my stairs is going, How would you normally plasterboard around a concrete edge like this? stick a 2x1 on and screw the board to that? or could I just blob straight onto the concrete?
    THanks

Both are options but the battens is probably best. This will give you a small cavity for the electricians to run cables if it's required.

Cheers @Dudda, not interested in having any cavity, as the 300mm dropped ceiling is massive :) more then enough for electricians, what space would you lose to a Blob?? 10mm?? maybe

Dot and dab mate, can't go wrong. Simple and cheap!
