Dermal roller VS derma pen?

I've been using a 1.5 mm roller. Reviews and effects are too good to NOT use dermal needling. But it's difficult to use consistently for obvious reasons (it's abrasive). I figured having a machine do the dirty work itself may make it easier to do regularly. Any one use both/either? Comparisons?
