Look closely at it again. The mushrooms are too large, but what really gives it away is the angle of the timber on the wall.
Its a grand plateful of food but its not as big as we're being led to believe.

It was one of those "challenge" plates of food - if you could clear the plate you didn't have to pay. See here. There was a restaurant out in Liffey Valley ( maybe there still is but I haven't been there in years ) called Spurs I think who used to do a similar challenge with a huge steak.

I was at a barbie a few years back made from a barrel cut in two and the grill was industrial lighting protectors. Heard the grill came from a small semi-conductor plant in Liexlip that was in construction at the time;).
