Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Irish Water Connection in Galway

    Hi there,

We've bought in a new estate in Oranmore and paid our deposit back in June. We had been told we would be moving into the house in August and so moved out of our accommodation in the Summer. We have been told the delay is due to connecting Irish Water to the estate water connections. In September work took place on the main Oranmore road which went on for 10 weeks and yet the houses are still not able to be occupied due to one connection that is needed. We have been told it will take half a day to complete the work but have not been told anything about when the work is to take place. We are getting married the end of December and are relying on having the house for guests to stay. This is causing us much stress and anxiety in the build up as we are having to stay with various family members. Otherwise we would be essentially homeless. We have everything ready to go for the house but it can not be completed because of this half days work that is needed. Any idea when this work will be taking place?!!! Please!!

We are going through the exact same same thing!! Signed in Sept 18, IW supposed to connect in May 19 and we are still not in and there is no sign of it being resolved any time before christmas. House is 100% finished and has been for months but IW decided to raise issues that should have been addressed between them and the county council at planning stage.

The response you will get (if any) will be that they cant deal with you as you are not the developer. My advice is to pester and annoy every TD in the country as they will give them more info if they make enquiries through the elected representatives helpdesk.

    Hope you get this resolved
