Meath getting lashed out of it in the betting now. Dubs have just named a weak side. Still 20/21 with 365

Still not sure I'd trust Meath to beat them, but maybe a small bet.

Draw and Dubs win on penalties. Not any big surprise but a dispiriting result for Meath given the team Dublin had out even if it was only O'Byrne Cup.

Anybody know what kind of a team Dublin hurlers start

I think Kildare will struggle can't understimate the loss off Flynn it's massive we do have good u21 players coming through but if I was to read between the lines I think it is a fragile enough unity with o Neill and players!!! I predict Kildare to finish 3rd or 4th

I did fancy Donegal but recent injuries and the short price have put me off what's your thoughts

I would agree on Kildare and Flynn. He was the fulcrum of the attack. They are also down their two influential wing backs from last year's championship run. Kevin Flynn and Johnny Byrne. Cian O'Neill may look to Padraig Fogarty at full forward? I'm not sure if he cuts it. I think they will flatter to deceive. The first game against Armagh will be crucial.

For me, Donegal have by far and away the best squad of players from the teams in Division 2. They have their injury troubles but I still expect them to top the group.

Armagh will have say. I don't think Meath are up to it.

I don’t think there’s much chance of Fogarty playing much for Kildare unless there’s big list of injuries.

Looking ahead to the national league next weekend who do people think represents good value? Surely after last night Westmeath against Offaly at 8/11 is a great bet. And Wexford away to Leitrim at 6/5 should be worth a punt.

Who have Kildare to replace Daniel Flynn? Jimmy Hyland is an exciting prospect but young yet. Neil Flynn? I see he is missing for the Armagh game due to suspension. Same with Mick O'Grady. 11/8 is a good price for Armagh.

Also think Cavan may be worth a punt at 3/1 to beat Galway. Galway are down a number of players.

As a Galway man I agree fully that 3 to 1 is to big on Cavan . No way I would price them bigger then 6 to 4 . Also think Roscommon are over priced at 3 s to beat mayo . They won’t fair them one bit and they were a lot more impressive in tuam yesterday then mayo last week

Any insight into this week's matches? Seen Waterford posted up at 1/25 on Boyle. I'd nearly take Offaly +11 @ 21/20 if the weather is crap and Pauric Mahony won't be on frees. Down a number of players like Conor Gleeson, Darragh Fives and Patrick Curran plus the Ballygunner contingent. On in Thurles as well because the hurlers trained during April last year

I wonder if Monaghan to beat Dublin might be worth a punt. Match is in Monaghan. Dublin will be without Fenton, Kilkenny and James McCarthy. Normally, you dont make much money betting against the Dubs, but 3/1 looks a decent price to me.

Agreed. Think without Mannion as well. I like the +3 at evens also. Only proviso is that I am unsure if Conor McManus is playing or not which will make a difference.

I came on here to post that, there 15/8 in powers at home to limerick. Davey always has his team's hopping fit for the league, only for them to run out of steam later on in the season. There is abit of pressure on him this year to deliver . I think beating limerick would be a big scalp.
I think Kilkenny can be slow starter to the league also and are missing a lot of players, I may also chance cork at 5/6 and do them in a double with wexford

Going to a double/treble every weekend for a bit of interest. First one is €20 double of Donegal and Westmeath at odds of 2.2

Going against the grain here with a small bet on Clare at 3/1.

Ennis is an awful tough place to play. Clare are in their 3rd year in Division 2 and have surprised a good few teams in Clare in the last few years. They won the McGrath Cup final against a decent Cork side and Keelan Sexton tipped over 1-10 for UL against DIT last week.

Donegal are talented and I expect them to top Division 2 in the end, but minus the Gaoth Dobhair lads and McBrearty up front, Clare have a bit of a chance, and worth a little bet at decent odds.

Anyone have an update on Darragh Fitzgibbons injury for Charleville? hurt his knee against Graigue Ballycallan, Oranmore 7/4 to beat Charleville in the All Ireland Intermediate final.

Charleville have alot of under 21's, Fitzgibbon is the engine of the team and worth about 5 points to them if he's 100%

Football 4 fold accumulator for this weekend, looks like a winner to me,

    Donegal -2 v Meath 10/11
    Laois to beat Louth 2/7
    Monaghan to beat Roscommon 8/15
    Down to beat Sligo 8/13

    Odd of 5/1

    Thoughts anyone?

I like the look of that 4 fold.

Not as clear cut but I think Offaly are good value @7/4 to beat Longford away. Louth are muck at the moment and this Longford team failed to score from play in the O'Byrne Cup semi final against Westmeath. They would be firm favourites for me if they had the Mullinalaghta lads. I expect Offaly to take them, they'll be hurting after the manner of the defeat to Westmeath.

Completely agree. Longford were dreadful last week, they were lucky to run into a diabolical Louth side. If Offaly have recovered from losing after being 8 up last week then I’d expect them to beat Longford

Took Dubs to score 4 or more goals at 18/1 with Boyles (v PP 17/2). Purely a value bet, no rationale behind it other than the Dubs might be stung from last week and Galway still missing Corofin.
