Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can we take the RTE AA conversation off somewhere else?

Good article her outlining the local reactions to BusConnects, if only the main media could write such informative and fact based articles!

Which brings us back nicely to the need to put it out to tender to get it on a sound basis.

Podcast guy - do we know anything about the commercial arrangement between RTE and AA? Does money change hands? Are they continuing to use the AA studios for non AA interviews?

The phrase 'commercial arrangement' seems to be crafted to give away no information. A commercial arrangement could be anything from a contra deal where no cash changes hands, to a bribe paid in cocaine. It certainly doesn't rule out a sponsorship deal. Other than asserting without evidence or explanation that it isn't sponsorship, they refuse to elaborate.

The say they don't 'currently' use the AA studio for news guests, but refuse to define currently. When I asked when had they changed policy on this, they said that they haven't changed policy, they just aren't doing it 'currently'.
