    Is it possible to disable the voicemail on vodafone but still have a greeting ?

    Don't think so, no voicemail means the call rings out and ends with a tone similar to an engaged tone.

    A conditional divert to a another number with a gateway configured to hang up after delivering a message could do it, but you'd pay for each diversion.

    Bit late I know, but yes it is!

    Record your "Out of office" greeting in the menu.
    No chance to leave a message, but it plays your greeting.
    I've been doing it for years.
