Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know if cheap summer-only rentals still exist for student gaffs (UCC area)? I'm outta college a few yrs.

Have a look round the local colleges, there'll be adds up (there's a fair few round ucd now anyway).
Most of them are decent enough & aimed at students so won't be *too* expensive.

Thing is rents are so much higher these days! The student residences are totally commercial in summer so was wondering if the landlords have been bitten by the Celtic Tiger greed in the summer too....

Your best bet is students who want to reserve places having stayed in them for a few years, who are away for the summer, but want the place back when college starts (this may vary).

The "official" residences tend to be rented out to tourists and foreign / language students for the summer.

Well if it helps I lived on College Road (Cork) last year.. and it was 85euro a week during college term..
then for the summer the landlady dropped it to 45 euro. that's the norm. there will be notices up in the student centre by the info desk and check the lcoal shops like Cliffords and the College Nook too.. Good luck!!
