Nice series of pictures, especially the first one - just screams out "trouble ahead". As for the possible funnel cloud, I think it would be difficult to tell from just that picture. IMO, it looks more like a pannus cloud than a funnel.

I was lucky enough to see a funnel cloud in Wicklow 2 years ago and despite being very small, it persisted for about 10 to 15 minutes. Also, I think you would have been able to see the funnel building up rather than just a brief glimpse (which points towards pannus for me). But I think there are other users that have more experience in funnel clouds here who would be able to give a more definite response :)

Looks very funnel-y to me, but i'm no expert and have never seen a funnel myself. It's hard to tell without seeing whether there was rotation or not, but it's also possible that it may just be scud i suppose.

Tried to enhance it a bit:

I'd say scud myself, given the current/predominant weather conditions.

Thanks for the comments lads... i was pretty sceptical myself considering they were only Stratocumulus , looking at that enhanced version Trogdor its seems pannus would be more appropiate.

I seen alot of funnels myself by never from a Strato Cumulus.

Still though.. was happy to see some nice structure overall! :)

Great pictures Ian. Makes me want the winter to be over and roll on the spring/summer.
