    slightly off topic but didn't lidl have money off vouchers in newspapers in the run up to Christmas in previous years but none this year?

    Correct, neither Aldi or Lidl had vouchers 2017 or 2018

    And Tesco have stopped accepting competitors vouchers since earlier this yr.

    Those aldi/Lidl vouchers really was a,kick in the hole for Tesco.
