Hi all, I’ve a Rockshox Reba Dual airwhich have trouble. Even after a full service she’s losing air.

Im thinking of converting this to coil spring . I’ve seen a few threads about this . It seems to be straightforward enough.

I’m wondering if anyone has an old coil Rockshox that is surplus to requirements that I could strip and use for conversion.???

Where did you send it for servicing? A shop or a specialist service?

I serviced it myself. She was losing air so I ordered the service kits. When I stripped the fork I found some bad internal scratches .

I reckon some grit got past the wipers . I fitted all the new o-rings using the correct grease and oils but when I pumped her she's losing air after one or two compressions.

I should've strippped it down and inspected before buying the service kits and lubes😕

Might be an idea to send it off to the likes of TFTuned; at least you'll know one way or another before doing a coil conversion. Either way, it's going to cost you so better to know what your options are rather than p1ssing into the wind and hoping for the best.

I'm selling my Rockshox coil as I did the opposite and switched to an air shock. Not sure it would suit your bike or budget (it's practically brand new) but feel free to pm me for more details.
