Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

RockShox Replacement thru Axle

    All,

In a spot of bother with my front thru axle. The quick release had been giving a bit of bother not tightening some times and as a result hanging loose. No big deal as the axle threads to the fork on the other side so I just kept an eye on it when out for a spin. Long story short the quick release disappeared on my last spin out, and at the end of my ride had to wrestle a muddy bike into my car (it barely fit) :o . I'm having trouble finding the correct axle I need. Went to my local bike shop and weren't able to help and are normally very good.
Is there anyone that could give me some advice ?

Its a RockShox Recon Silver RL 27.5" fork, Front Hub Novatec D811, 100mm x 15mm and the axel is 158mm long, 15mm dia and 11mm long thread but unsure of the pitch.

Any help greatly appreciated, I dont feel like cycling around with an adjustable spanner in my pack :D

Its a good site, have got a few bits from them now. Only downside is their delievery takes a bit longer than chain reactions.

Handy to know they sell rebuild kits too. Delivery is a minor inconvenience but can't complain as it'll be a direct replacement and the weather is crap for the next week
