Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Willie and steve are in the Grand Slam as runners up of the World Cup.

there are 16 already qualified for the slam, with jamie hughes dropping out thanks to Mensurs win last week.
With the grand prix to come mensur could lose his spot.

As for the Champions league, all 8 players in that have already qualified so that will not affect qualification.

Glen Durrant is not in yet, and looks unlikely the bdo will give him a spot, nor should they, although Hearn hinted he would like the current lakeside champ in it.

Willie is almost qualified for the European Championship too, think

I didn't realise being runner up in a non ranking doubles tournament qualifies them for one of the big ranking majors

its not the only non ranking event that gets you in the ranking slam.

The winner of the champions league gets in which is non ranking.
top 4 in the non ranking Premier League
The world cup winners and runners up
and the world series champion which is another non ranking event.

so far the 16 who are qualified.

however this could change tonight after the completion of the euro tour on live at the moment.

I'd like to see Jackpot back to his best to challenge the like of MvG and Anderson. Seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. Any reason why his results have been so patchy over the past two years?

They've been patchy alot longer than 2 years, he just seemed to have the odd good run to keep his ranking points. Peak Lewis hadn't been seen since 2013.
He had back problems recently, family problems too and I guess all that weight is bound to have a negative effect.

    moneywise it was

But lets be honest, it was a field that had no MVG, Wade, Chizzy, Gary Anderson etc and despite getting the luckiest draw ever in the first 2 rounds he was hardly impressive.

He struggled to reach the 90 average against the german jobber, and when Price put him under pressure he wilted again.

I think Durrant is a good player, and has done well in the rankings but nowhere near the player the comms would have us believe calling him one of the best in the world because he won some second rate lakesides. It is like a repeat of when Bunting joined the PDCand the comms hyped him to the moon til he was shown up not to be one of the best.
Same will happen with Durrant, and his age is also against him

Steve Beaton , christian Kist , jelle Klaasen won lakeside titles, and dont mean a damn

Came through the Qualifiers for seven Euro Tours in a row, many decent runs in Players champs, beat Peter Wright on stage in Euro Tour two weeks ago, have a look through here, and point out where the cliff fall occurred:

His form is actually better recently than it was up to the DAY before he won a Players championships event in April. He went out in the first round (and cashless) in 8 of the first 11 Players Champs events this year. His recent form is far better than that. You seem to be only judging him to the high standards of the World Cup final and his first Players championships victory in April.

    Yours sincerely,

going in the right direction, and with the Grand Slam a ranking comp these days, for which he qualified, a run in that would see him climb higher, in the OoM

Money is clearly no object to her as she travels around the world to earn enough points to make Lakeside every year, at which she loses in the first round without fail and collects her £500 cheque.

She is also one of the women that were extremely vocal in the crowd during a women's match in the recently televised World trophy, can't recall who was playing but it looked ridiculous.

He had a fierce few months winning the title, 9 darter at the green isle, final of world cup, he's had a lot of first round exits with fairly ordinary averages since that's all I meant, I'm his #1 fan
