    Hi.

I have hardwood front door. its a bit weather beaten but otherwise sound.

I used Rawplug Plastic Wood Filler (teak) and then applied Ronseal satin Deep Mahogany woodstain (one coat so far).

The repair area is quite visible. Do I need to abandon the woodstain and apply paint (most likely black or a variation???) to cover the repair area and get a smart finish?
