By the time you pay pension,Prsi, and Universal Social Charge you would be looking at a take home pay of €390 unless you have built up an incremental for time served. You will get your pension repayed if you do not go over 2 years service hope this helps.

I helped my nephew with an application for Dublin. Hopefully he makes the cut for summer work after he completes his Leaving Cert. Be nice money for him ahead of college & give him a little dose of the real world.

I’ve done TCO a few times and there is lots of students that do it and the experience on the cv always looks good

That all depends on your own personal circumstances.

This looks likw a great explanation of why we get cr*p service from the public sector.

Do they really think that an extra €250 per year will being in more applicants?

Assessment questionnaire is up, just done mine :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 333 ✭✭solidasarock

    Whats the questionnaire like?

The usual "how awesome are you out of 5" stuff?

  • Registered Users Posts: 865 ✭✭✭tringle

This will be my 5th time doing this questionnare and it always wrecks my head. I think my answers are the same each time but my score is always totally different... What is the technique?

Did you get a confirmation email to say it was completed ? I just finished mine but did not get an email of confirmation.

It says clearly on the literature you will NOT get email. Thpuere comes up a message when you press submit to say it is successful. Thats it. Just wait for the interview date

Anyone know when we will get the results?

I think around the middle of Jan. Its really early this year!

  • Registered Users Posts: 95 ✭✭Meanman

    Yes. mid January it is.

  • Registered Users Posts: 569 ✭✭✭Dublintigger

It will be mid-January before we hear – I read that somewhere on the info we got. So, we could start hearing as early as Monday week 14/1

I agree that the competition is very early this year, but I think it is all to do with Brexit and the massive amount of passport applications received and double that to what they are expecting later this year. It has been on the news that all the passport offices are very short staffed at the moment.

Those who are successful could be called for placement (interview pending) earlier than previous years, I think.

I'm wondering if the contracts will be longer than the previous 13-week ones? Now that would be cool!!

I'm open to correction but think DFA conduct their own interviews for jobs in passport offices even if temporary?
